How do I install my strap?

Unlike fabric straps; leather is made to be set into the lugs and not pulled through the lugs. Pulling a leather strap through the lugs with spring bars installed can cause a "Skid-Mark" across the length of the strap, leading to a degrade appearance and damage.

  • Using a spring bar tool, carefully remove the spring bars.

  • Set the watch crystal side down on a soft surface and lay the strap across the watch between the lugs with the logo side down and the hardware end at the watches 12 o'clock position.

  • Adjust the strap so the logo is approximately 5-10mm from the 6 o'clock spring bar to avoid stressing the engraving.

  • Install 6 o'clock spring bar and check fit.

  • Gently add tension to the strap, taking up any slack between the lugs and install the 12 o'clock spring bar.

  • Check fit, and make adjustments insuring the buckle is centered on the underside of the wrist.

What are watch rolls for?

Watch rolls, pouches and sleeves allow individuals who travel with multiple watches to do so. There are pros and cons to every method and material, but all eliminate the typically larger footprint of factory boxes. We never recommend storing your watches in a checked bag of any kind.

Why is one keeper loose?

That loose keeper is part of what makes our straps unique. It is part of our design to provide the ideal fit across multiple wrist sizes.

The tail of the strap features extra material and simplistic guillotine shape that allows the wearer to trim excess material for the perfect fit while maintaining the original appearance.

Most straps feature either 1-2 fixed/captured keepers or removable keepers that can get lost over time.

Why does my strap look different?

  • Leather is an organic material that involves numerous processes and individuals to make. There will be small variances from hide to hide, that transfer from strap to strap including imperfections, finish color, firmness etc.

  • We are not machines; we craft our straps using a number of processes working with/ around these variables and quality control each one along the way.

  • All of these contribute to the straps character and uniqueness. Our straps are not mass produced overseas using cheap materials, they are made by hand here in the US.

Why do people want a single pass strap?

In our world watches are tools and we need those tools. Furthermore, we use these tools in some of the most unforgiving environments on earth.

Simply put it's for safety/ peace of mind. If one spring bar breaks, you can still save that watch. You don't have that opportunity with 2 piece straps.

What are these bent spring bars for?

We include curved spring bars with our thicker straps to help insure our straps fit on a large array of straps.

The curved spring bars provide extra clearance for the excess material the manufacturer didn't account for. Don't worry, we did though.
